Coronavirus: Alabaimo Foundation’s rapid response to support poor families in underserved communitie

We were only able to reach out to fourteen families this past week with raw food items like rice beans and garri in Sogunro and jesuko communities. These households did not get their relief package during our first outreach because we ran out of food stuffs. There are still hundreds of families in all the communities we have reached who are in need of the food to keep their families hunger free and alive, especially as we are not sure the lockdown will be lifted anytime soon. We also gave two households money to buy some basic needs for their families in this critical time. In all, we reached Sixteen households this past week and we are set to do more this new week and for as long as the lockdown last and we have sufficient funds through your continuous support and donations. Therefore, we are calling out again for more donations as we usually budget five thousand naira for a family per week for thousands of households across each of these communities. We will also like to assure all donors that all donations received during this period is spent on our COVID-19 RELIEF FOOD  OUTREACH. Hence, we are looking forward to your commitment and partnership this week and the coming weeks help us keep the poor, vulnerable and marginalized families/households and communities fed this period.
